growing like a weed

We took Brett in for his 1 month check up today. He slept right through it. We couldn't even get him to wake up enough for his doctor to check his eyes! Everything checked out. He weighs 9 lbs. 12 oz.! He's gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks! And he is 22 3/4 inches long, so he's grown an 1 1/2 since he was born.

Brett has his days and nights mixed up. Last night was particularly difficult. His doctor gave us some advise that will hopefully help out some.

We're home

We made it home last night. It was a long trip for our little guy, but he was a great traveler. And what a wonderful homecoming we had. While we were gone someone broke into our house and decorated it with welcome home signs, left a huge stack of baby supplies on the table, and stocked our fridge with easy to prepare meals! Brett sure is loved!

But not by our cat. She was not very happy to see "the thing" that we brought home with us. He stinks a lot and takes up too much space on mom's lap.
