Reggie is 8 years old!

A few days after we got home from Green Bay, we had Reggie's birthday party.  He wanted an American Ninja Warrior party.  I tried my best to keep it simple and stay off Pinterest only get a few ideas from Pinterest.

There is a Ninja Warrior gym near us, so we took a couple friends from our neighborhood.

The kids conquered the warp wall and then we went home for pizza and cake.  It was a fun night full of potty talk and armpit noises.

Reggie bought a skateboard with some of his birthday money.
I also made him buy all the safety guards.  Hope they work!

packers training camp

Packer's Training Camp was again one of the highlights of our summer.  This year was, however, marked by the uncooperative weather.  It rained a number of times during our visit, which put a damper on some of our plans.  The kids love visiting the Dream Zone, where they get to "participate" in training camp.  We also watched one of the practices.

One of the best parts of camp is hanging out with cousins.
And Papa and MeeMaw.
And visiting MeeMaw's Ice Cream Shop.
Family Night. Looks like rain!

Definitely the best part of training camp was going to family night and sitting literally in the front row!
Even a 45 minute rain delay could not hinder our excitement.
And we are sure this rainbow is God's promise to favor the Packer's this season!

A little friendly cousin soccer game.

And Reggie also celebrated his 8th birthday!

big sports weekend

We had a big sports weekend in July.  On Saturday, Brett's soccer team participated in the "world games".
All the teams scrambled to form new teams.  Brett was on team Germany.
Part of the time, Brett was the goalie.
Then we were up early the next morning for a full day of baseball.
Reggie's at-bats started out less than stellar but once he got his swing straightened out, he hit two homeruns.

Reggie's team came back from behind and won the tournament!
Reggie also got a trophy for farther throw - over 100 feet!

 And very dirty.

find joy in the garden

When my kids wonder where I am, they always know where to look.

Because I find joy in the garden.
My favorite season: strawberries and sugar peas

Sometimes I choose veggie varieties because of their unique blooms.

Sometimes I choose veggies because they promise a quick harvest like these zucchini.

This is my first three sisters garden: corn, pole beans, and winter squash.

Yum!
(The second place they look is the laundry room. ☹)
