On Brett's birthday, we took a
field trip to
Santaland at the Downtown Minneapolis Macy's. I'm intending to make this an annual tradition. Last year, my mom and I took Brett a couple days before Lydia made her entrance into the world. This year's display (A Day in the Life of an Elf) was the same as last year, a bit of a disappointment to me, but the kids were delighted!
While visiting the display is free, there are plenty of opportunities to spend money. We skipped pictures with Santa, but bought a huge cookie to share from Mrs. Clause's Bakery and purchased a book in the gift shop.

(When I set up this blog, which is my secondary blog, I forgot to set it up to email me when I had comments.) At any rate, I found a comment from you from way back in July! Thanks so much for your kind words after our second heart-breaking fall-through.
As I type, we have a match and are hoping to be driving down to Georgia very soon. (She's due Dec. 15th, but may be induced on Friday.) We're praying that the third time is the charm.
Oh, and thanks for the big smile from this Wisconsin girl when you told me your boys' most excellent Wisconsin football names. :) (Not that I'm rooting for Brett these days. ahem. But the name is great, and the sentiment is awesome. He was a great guy in green and gold. ;)
Okay, I'm praying that our birthmother doesn't go into labor today or tomorrow with this winter storm warning/possible blizzard thing we're currently under. (Are you getting this big snow too?) Might make our travel to Georgia a bit slow. ;)
