cheers, high fives, and other randomness

In the mid-summer's heat, we've been cooling off in the water, playing "car wash", and on the extra-hot days, playing with big boxes from diapers.com. A couple things that happen in our house on a very frequent basis are "high fives" and "cheers". The kids have known "high five" for a long while, but it's not until recently (around the same time they saw it on Yo Gabba Gabba!) that they really started initiating it. Yesterday, Lydia came up to me out of the blue with her hand up in the air and said, "high five"! "Cheers" came about spontaneously one night at dinner and stuck. We don't just raise our glasses either - french fries...legos...pretty much anything you have two of can be "cheersed"!
