meet your seats

Last week we packed the kids in the car, popped on the interstate heading east and five-and-a-half hours later we reached our destination - Lambeau Field.

This was no ordinary day at Lambeau Field.  It was "Meet Your Seats" day.  A day Bryan has hoped for-and was not sure would ever come - for over twenty years.

We met Bryan's brother and two of his kids in the atrium.  He, too, was there to meet his seats.

The kids certainly did not understand the magnitude of this event for their daddies, but could definitely sense the excitement!  For our kids, it would be their first time inside the stadium.

Up, up, up we went, touring each floor of the addition to the stadium as we went.  Finally, we reached Level 7, and up to the fifteenth row we went, to meet our seats.

No players on the field today; only sprinklers.  But it didn't matter.  We sat, enjoyed the view, and ate hot dogs and drank pop in the eight seats that will belong to the Wedan's - 1 preseason and 2 regular season games a year- probably for generations to come.

We completed our stay with a night at a hotel and spent plenty of time splashing in the pool.  What a fun family time!
