Saturday was the annual MICAH family picnic. We are a MICAH family because we received a grant through the MICAH fund for Brett's adoption. Since then, Bryan has become the treasurer for the MICAH fund. MICAH will be celebrating 20 years and 300 babies in the next few months! Brett was baby #275. A slideshow is being put together to celebrate the event.
Here are some pictures from the picnic:
Brett playing with his friend Ruby-
Lydia made friends with all the little girls!
Brett made friends with Bruce!

It is wonderful to have the opportunity to fellowship with other adoptive and transracial families, to celebrate our kids, and to gain from others' experiences!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI saw your blog site on the yahoo group and came to check it out. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. I found the post where you said that you were adopting from Liberia and then that crashed and in the end it was all part of the journey to your son. That was a special post to me because we have been part of the Ethiopia program for the past 8 months and are one of the families affected by the Imagine Adoption bankruptcy. So now we are looking to adopt from an agency in Florida (we are in British Columbia). We have registered in their African American program and are official with them as of yesterday. Anyway, I REALLY appreciated reading through your blog and seeing the beautiful pictures of your little blessings. Thanks again for sharing.
