This year, our Green Bay vacation landed the last week in July and we stayed an extra two nights. We celebrated Reggie's birthday while we were there. He wanted a Packer party, so I didn't have to decorate!

Summer week 7
The 7th week of summer marks the halfway point. We're on the downhill slide - about which I'm mostly sad.
This is a picture of Reggie learning to tie his shoes. I decided kids should learn to tie shoes the summer before 1st grade. But I don't really have the patience for such tasks. Brett learned to tie his shoes by an occupational therapist. I looked up a video on YouTube and Lydia taught herself. When I came home with tie shoes for Reggie, I told Brett to teach him. A few minutes later, I discovered all three watching a YouTube video and practicing tying their shoes!

That's great that they learned to tie their shoes so easily! Paul taught Nadia the summer before 1st grade also. We haven't attempted to teach the boys yet, and Ian is starting 1st grade this fall. But they both still wear sneakers with velcro so I guess we'll put it off a bit.
